Pong to Pokémon exhibition
Project Description
Created in collaboration with the Bullock Museum's curatorial and education staff as part of he temporary exhibition Pong to Pokémon: The History of Electronic Gaming.
Curators recognized that music and sound effects are a critical aspect of game playing experiences but did not have sufficient artifacts to demonstrate this point. The interactive was developed to acknowledge this importance.
A trivia game format was chosen to allow for selections of iconic game scores both old and new. A historical cross section of musical examples allowed for discussion of technological advancements in sound generation capabilities in the games industry over time.
